The Trust facilitates:

1. The National Stud's provision of residential education and training facilities for young people wishing to enter the Thoroughbred breeding industry or to seek higher qualifications within it. Education and Training has always been a major priority for the Stud and the support of the Wavertree Charitable Trust will enable the number and range of courses to be expanded. The Apprenticeship and Diploma Courses are offered without charge to British students or employers, although fees will continue to be charged to participants from overseas.
2. The National Stud's continued development as an effective and accessible shop window for the Thoroughbred industry, raising levels of interest, awareness and knowledge. The Stud provides guided tours of the premises, twice daily, from 1st March to 30th September. These include visits to the stallion unit, along with the stallions in residence, the nursery yards and mares with their foals in the paddocks.
